Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 16, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Apostolic Path platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including church administrators, leaders, teachers, and students.

2. Description of Service

Apostolic Path is a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) discipleship tracking platform designed for Apostolic churches. The Service helps churches track students through the New Birth journey, manage Bible studies, and monitor progress through First Steps discipleship curriculum.

The platform uses a multi-tenant architecture in which each church operates within its own isolated environment. Church data is scoped and separated so that one church's information is never accessible to another church.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. Each individual may maintain only one account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Church administrators are responsible for managing user accounts within their church and ensuring that all users added to their church comply with these Terms.

4. User Roles and Responsibilities

The Service provides the following user roles, each with different levels of access and responsibility:

  • Platform Admin — Manages the overall platform, including church accounts and system configuration.
  • Admin — Manages their church's account, users, settings, and data within the platform.
  • Leader — Oversees discipleship activities, teachers, and student progress within their church.
  • Teacher — Conducts Bible studies and records student progress.
  • Student — Participates in Bible studies and the discipleship journey.

Church administrators are responsible for assigning appropriate roles and managing access within their church. Each user is expected to use the Service in accordance with the permissions granted by their role.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful church discipleship purposes. You may not:

  • Use the Service for any purpose other than church discipleship management and tracking.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or other church data.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content through the Service.
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.

6. Data Ownership

Churches retain full ownership of all data they enter into the Service, including student records, Bible study information, discipleship progress, and any other church-specific content. Apostolic Path acts as a data processor on behalf of each church.

All church data is scoped to the individual church account and is not shared with, sold to, or accessible by other churches or third parties, except as required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

Apostolic Path and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all software, design, text, graphics, and other content provided as part of the platform. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Churches retain ownership of any content they create or upload to the Service. By using the Service, you grant Apostolic Path a limited license to host, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

8. Payment Terms

The Service is offered on a subscription basis. A free tier is available with limited features. Paid subscription plans are billed according to the pricing and terms presented at the time of purchase.

All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the specific terms of your subscription plan. Apostolic Path reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice to subscribers.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the use of the Service at any time. Churches may cancel their subscription through their account settings or by contacting support.

Apostolic Path reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in activity that is harmful to the Service or other users.

Upon termination, churches may request an export of their data for a reasonable period following the termination date. After that period, data may be permanently deleted.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. APOSTOLIC PATH DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APOSTOLIC PATH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

IN NO EVENT SHALL APOSTOLIC PATH'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO APOSTOLIC PATH DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Brown County, Wisconsin.

13. Changes to Terms

Apostolic Path reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When changes are made, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify users through the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
